Till Death Do Us Part.
O.O., making fun of me: "It's a good thing your mother didn't name you Joy! Ha Ha Ha Ha..."
A few minutes later. "Or TEMPERANCE! YES! HA HA HA HA..."

A comedian told this joke.
On the front of a t-shirt: "Jesus loves you."
On the back: "He's not 'in love' with you."

CLEAN | COMPLEX | DARK You like things edgy, subtle, and smart. I guess that means you're probably an intellectual, but don't take that to mean you're pretentious. You realize 'dumb' can be witty--after all isn't that the Simpsons' philosophy?--but rudeness for its own sake, 'gross-out' humor and most other things found in a fraternity leave you totally flat. I guess you just have a more cerebral approach than most. You have the perfect mindset for a joke writer or staff writer. Your sense of humor takes the most effort to appreciate, but it's also the best, in my opinion. Also, you probably loved the Office. You scored as Sacrament model. Your model of the church is Sacrament. The church is the effective sign of the revelation that is the person of Jesus Christ. Christians are transformed by Christ and then become a beacon of Christ wherever they go. This model has a remarkable capacity for integrating other models of the church.

Zenit News Agency - The World Seen From Rome: "From the point of view of liturgical law, an official interpretation of Canon 230, Paragraph 2, of the Code of Canon law on the possibility of delegating certain liturgical offices led to a 1994 letter from the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Sacraments clarifying that girls may serve at the altar. But bishops are not bound to permit them to do so, nor could the episcopal conference limit the bishop's faculty to decide for himself.
A further clarifying letter published in 2001 said priests are not compelled to have girls serve at the altar, even when their bishops grant permission. "

'LOS ANGELES (AP) - Federal health investigators are baffled: Why have four California women died from a bloodstream infection after using a controversial abortion pill?"
Maybe the pill decided to exercise its right to choose.

Just a fact.
As a little girl, and as a teenager, I never, never once, fantasized about my wedding day, and what it would be like, and what my dress would look like, etc. So here's proof, that not "all little girls" do this.
I did get interested once I was engaged. But that's normal.

JIMMY AKIN.ORG: Cannon Fires Cultural Shot Across the Bow: "Musician Nick Cannon has written a song and made a video that is not just open to a pro-life interpretation, but is unmistakeably, powerfully and movingly pro-life. It is called Can I Live?. In the song and the video, his spirit travels back in time to the day his mother went to an abortion mill and almost took his life. He pleads with her to think about what she is doing, and she literally RUNS out of the clinic and into a new life as a mother."
Baptists turn to idol worship - "I think it's nice ... it's inspirational," [the artist] said. "After all, it's part of the Bible."
Website Wants to "Feed Lindsay":
"By Sarah Hall
Fri Jul 8, 7:55 PM ET
A whole lot of people seem to be on a mission to put a little meat on the increasingly prominent bones of Lindsay Lohan.
An online petition titled 'Please Lindsay, Eat!' has gathered over 12,500 signatures from concerned individuals, who are united in their preference for the actress' once curvy figure from the days of Mean Girls as compared to her drastically slimmer bod of today."
Hmm. Feed Lindsay, starve Terri. Got it.

More in U.S. Have Foreign-Born Mothers:
"By DAVID B. CARUSO
NEW YORK (AP) - Nearly 23 percent of all people born in the U.S. in 2002 had a foreign-born mother - the largest percentage since a wave of immigration more than 90 years ago, a study of birth records by a private nonprofit group shows.
The Center for Immigration Studies said the country has not seen as large a share of its children born to immigrants since 1910, when the number reached 22 percent as shiploads of Italians and eastern Europeans crowded America's port cities.
This time, Hispanics are the driving force, according to the study being released Thursday. Nearly 1 in 10 births in the United States in 2002 were to women born in Mexico. Hispanics, as a whole, accounted for 59 percent of all births by immigrants."

I continue to be amazed at the power of my love for my daughter.
It is completely overwhelming. It is extra-rational. I have never experienced anything like it. She doesn't speak English. She and I have no common interests (does eating count?). We have minimal shared experiences. But she is completely fascinating. I wish I could spend a lot more time interacting with her. It is so much fun to show her how everything works. And when she's amused, she smiles this insanely happy, Stevie-Wonder-style grin that engages her entire face. I rarely remember being that happy, but seeing her that happy is a pretty close second. It's infectious.
Which is why I am so cheerful and bubbly these days. Right?

Greetings,
I recently came upon your website, E-PRESSION, while browsing St. Blog's Parish Hall, and would like to ask for your help with a new project of the Africa Faith and Justice Network, a non-profit organization led by Catholic priests and sisters (http://afjn.cua.edu).
AFJN is launching Uganda Conflict Action Network (http://www.ugandacan.org) to raise awareness of and help bring an end to the war in Uganda, which is fought almost entirely by and against children. Northern Ugandans have been subject to massacres and child abductions for over 10 years while the international community has largely been silent.
We have already received some great support from the likes of the Kroc Institute at the University of Notre Dame, Fr. Carlos Rodrigues of Acholi Religious Leaders' Peace Initiative in Gulu Archdiocese, and many others.
What we desperately need now is the support of bloggers. We believe that we will need a strong grassroots network of supporters on the Web to continue to gain momentum.
Which is why I am emailing you--I believe your blog's audience might be interested in what we're doing. If there's anyway you could spare us a link to our Web site, or mention us on your blog, (or even mention the conflict itself!) it would be a huge help.
