Take the quiz: "What Monarch Are You?"

Edward IV
You are loyal and down to earth. More than that, you are a hard-headed realist. You take the facts, and you go with them. You don't try to change what is, just like Edward IV, who never lost a battle, even when greatly outnumbered. You excel on your own mind and on your own heart. Keep your level head, and keep being aware. You rock!

Easter
Easter: "THE DROWNING OF JUDAS
This old custom, usually practiced on Holy Wednesday could easily catch on with Polish American school children on the last day of school before Easter vacation. A straw-filled sack made to look like the bearded Judas, dressed in old discards is thrown from the top of a church steeple and pounced upon by youngsters with sticks and stones. The effigy is dragged through the streets and dumped in the nearest body of water amid the cheers of all present. If there is no water nearby, the effigy may be set on fire."

From the Center for Education Reform's Newsletter:
DIS-HONOR SOCIETY. In what should be re-named the National "Close Enough" Honor Society, the Ann Arbor school district in Michigan is looking to lower the minimum grade point average needed to join the prestigious and well respected National Honor Society. At Pioneer High School, administrators are considering dropping the grade point average needed to join from 3.8 to 3.0, and from 3.5 to 3.0 at Huron and Community High Schools. During an open discussion between parents and school officials last week, one parent expressed, "the National Honor Society should not necessarily be a club just for extraordinary students." Oh, yes it should. Why take away honor and distinction from the kids who have worked so hard to truly earn their spot on this national list? Nobody, especially our kids, benefits from lowering expectations and standards.
